ROSYTH ESTATE: THE RURAL SRI LANKA AND THE CULTURE OF TEA
Not every day you stayed in a bungalow inside of a colonial tea plantation dating from 1926; Everything about Rosyth Estate House evokes a sense of time and place. This is a place to slow down, have tea on the terrace, see the mist above the hills and enjoy delicious typical food of Sri Lanka.
Located between Colombo and the cultural triangle of Sri Lanka, this private house converted into a boutique hotel is 300 meters up in the mountain on a tea and rubber plantation. It’s complicated to take your eyes off the views of the surrounding hills and jungle.
The friendly staff, many of them from the local community, are part of the charm of Rosyth Estate. There are organized visits to the tea factory, bike rides to waterfalls through rubber, tea and rice fields. We personally enjoyed a walk through nature with a local in search of unique trees and spices. Daily yoga classes in nature, a massage in the SPA, the swimming pool, a movie in the library or a cooking class, activities that will make you feel the heart of Sri Lanka. But also simply sitting on a chair on the terrace of your room with spectacular views and the sound of nature.

Ubicado entre Colombo y el triángulo cultural de Sri Lanka, esta apacible casa privada convertida en hotel boutique se encuentra en una elevación de 300 metros en una plantación de té y caucho. Es difícil apartar los ojos de las vistas de las colinas y la selva circundantes.
Tanto los mismos propietarios como el amable personal, muchos de ellos de la comunidad local, forma parte del encanto de Rosyth Estate.
